Damas Dayhike 2015 – A late post

Sharing our Damas Dayhike which we did last September 19, 2015. I have been occupied with a lot of things lately and did not have the chance to compose blogs until now.

Our IT can be viewed HERE.

Climbing Damas was great. You need to be prepared for the steep and slippery trails. I for one when we were on our way back river trekking to the jump-off, slipped and fell from one of the rock walls. Instinct kicked-in so I was able to look at where I was going to fall and managed to somewhat control the drop. I just had some bruises, scratches and only my left arm got hurt but my friends got really scared and nervous. The fall could have been avoided if I had chosen to wear my trekking shoes instead of my trekking sandals. The sandals were not for river trekking. I highly recommend trekking shoes for this climb.

Our group was able to go back to the jump-off, safe and sound. We enjoyed our sumptuous dinner of TINOLANG NATIVE CHICKEN!!! After eating and freshening up, we went back to Manila and guess who was the driver? ME 🙂 I thank God that despite the fall, I was still ok. Thanks a bunch to Jason, Rhian, Mark and Che who gave their all to support me when I got hurt.

Enjoy the photos below! God bless!
